I have to admit, Oamaru has its merits! Beautiful scenery around every corner (I think this may just apply to most if not all of NZ.) and lots of arty types. I just met a couple of new artists this week and it has been really fun. We spent a good portion of time yesterday watching the waves crash over the harbour jetty. It was really an impressive display of nature and relaxing to boot!
I am back to following my dream of trying to obtain a longarm. More on that in a later post.
But I just put a pattern up on Craftsy and actually sold one! Who knew? I did an A4 version and an 8.5×11 version. Now that I have done one, I hope the process gets a little easier! Harlick the Happy won’t be so cheery if he is all by himself. I am going to make a few more to add to the dragon family and maybe a few of my NZ inspired themes.
But in the process of doing the patterns, I needed to make my hubby a new lunchbag and opted to try out Spoonflower again. I think I really like the results. I ordered a fat quarter of the eco-canvas for the bag printed with my Sean dragon as well as samples of some of the other dragons in black and white to see if they will colour in well. If my wash, paint, ink, etc, wash again goes well then I will put them up for public consumption on Spoonflower. I just want to know how they behave first.
I have done an update on the website so swing by if you have a chance.
